Applications Engineer (German speaker)

Job Summary: Flowserve is looking for a technically and commercially experienced Applications Engineer. In this function you will develop solutions for customers and partners for industrial and special applications.  You will act as a product specialist (industrial pumps product portfolio) in a team and work closely with the sales, development and other specialist departments at the site. Responsibilities & Requirements: - Prepare quotations by evaluating customers’ requirements and provide quotation responses by sizing, specifying and pricing valves in accordance with customers’ specifications - Prepare technically sound and cost-effective quotations, in order to contribute to obtaining related sales and bookings growth - Prepare detailed, complete and correct purchase order transfer files for proper transfer into our respective manufacturing operations - Participate in bid clarification meetings with the customers - Develop a keen understanding of the Flowserve product lines and their respective operations to enhance application engineering, quotation generation and sales support efforts Preferred Experience / Skills: - Ideally 2 years of relevant experience as an Applications Engineer or similar role such as Inside Sales Representative, Engineer - Bsc degree ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field - Working proficiency in German and English - Strong technician acumen and analytical thinking - SAP knowledge Experience in dealing with common MS Office applications - Good communication skills What we offer: - Flexible hybrid working model - Cafeteria Package - Friendly multicultural environment and team events - Career development and training opportunities - Life, accident and health insurance
