Electrical Quality Assurance Technician - Space Systems
Over deze vacature
Job description Would you like to work in a small, international engineering team developing high-end solutions for the space industry? Are you motivated by ensuring that demanding quality standards and customer requirements are met throughout complex technical projects? And do you enjoy a varied role where quality assurance, technical documentation and hands-on engineering come together? If so, we would like to hear from you. We are looking for an Electrical Quality Assurance Technician – Space Systems to join our team in Prague. Quality Assurance will be at the core of your role, complemented by activities in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and, depending on your background and interests, hands-on electrical/electronic assembly and testing. The role You will join a small engineering team working within our Space / Ground Support Business Unit. Our projects involve the design and construction of customized systems used to test spacecraft electrical and electronic hardware. These systems, known as Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), combine specialized hardware and software and are developed according to demanding customer and industry requirements. As part of the team, you will help ensure that our projects and products meet contractual, regulatory and internal quality requirements from proposal through delivery. The position offers considerable variety and the opportunity to contribute beyond traditional Quality Assurance activities. Your responsibilities Your primary focus will be Quality Assurance, including: • Produce and update quality-related documentation for projects, proposals and offers, in cooperation with the Project Manager and project technical team, and assist with document administration. • Ensure that contractual, customer and regulatory quality requirements are understood and implemented throughout our Space / Ground Support projects. • Identify customer quality requirements at an early stage by participating in proposal and contract reviews. • Prepare, maintain and implement project Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) and other quality-related documentation. • Represent Quality Assurance in customer-facing project reviews and milestone meetings. • Participate in project milestone reviews and ensure compliance with applicable checklists and quality requirements. • Perform quality-related activities such as incoming parts inspections, CE compliance checks and support for product test procedures. • Support internal and external quality audits and certification activities. • Contribute to supplier quality reviews, document updates and other quality-related activities within the wider global organization. • Support project teams in preparing required production and quality documentation. Health, Safety & Environment You will work together with our global HSE organization to support the implementation and maintenance of local Health, Safety and Environmental procedures in accordance with standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Hands-on technical activities Depending on your experience and interests, the role may also include: • Assembly and construction of electrical and electronic hardware. • Electrical testing and verification of our products. • Supporting engineering and production teams during project integration and testing. About you You have at least a trade-school qualification or other advanced education in Electrical Engineering, and/or relevant professional experience working in a high-tech industry such as space, aerospace or automotive. Ideally, you bring: • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience as an Electrical/Electronics Technician, Quality Technician/Specialist, Test Technician or in a comparable technical role, preferably within a high-tech industry such as space, aerospace or automotive. • A qualification under Czech electrical regulation NV 194/2022 Sb. (previously commonly referred to as “§50”), or an educational background that enables you to obtain the required qualification. • Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. • A willingness and ability to learn new technical and quality-related topics. • A practical, solution-oriented approach and the confidence to raise quality concerns constructively when required. • A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute wherever the team needs support. Due to project and customer requirements, EU nationality is mandatory for this position. It would be an advantage if you have • Previous Quality Assurance or testing experience in the space, aerospace, automotive or another high-tech industry. • Knowledge of quality management standards such as ISO 9001. • Knowledge of EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility). • Experience or knowledge related to HSE, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001. • System-level understanding of the interaction between mechanical, electronic and software components. What you can expect This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and close collaboration with engineers rather than working within a narrowly defined QA function. You will have the opportunity to work on specialized equipment for the space industry, contribute throughout the project lifecycle and develop your expertise across Quality Assurance, electrical/electronic systems, testing and HSE. The position is based in Prague, Czech Republic, and we are looking for someone to join us as soon as possible. Full-time is preferred, although part-time arrangements may also be considered.
