Over deze vacature

ABOUT FACTORY Our mission is to create a world where software builds and improves itself. We build the platform for self-improving software development, helping the world's largest enterprise engineering teams turn their organizations into autonomous software factories. Customers including Nvidia, Blackstone, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Palo Alto Networks, Adobe, and T-Mobile run Factory to ship code, review PRs, run tests, and deploy continuously - getting smarter with every cycle. In 2026, we raised $200M at a $5B valuation, bringing our total funding to over $400M. We are backed by world-class investors and operators including Khosla Ventures, Sequoia, Blackstone, Ali Ghodsi (CEO of Databricks), and Frank Slootman (Former CEO of Snowflake). ABOUT THE ROLE   Factory is on the cutting edge of software development. We build and deploy AI solutions that accelerate engineering work at the world's most innovative companies. We're looking for Forward Deployed Engineers to make every Factory deployment succeed, whether that means faster developer workflows, large-scale migrations, or accelerated product delivery. As our customer base grows rapidly, you'll lead Factory's highest-impact customer implementations and special engineering projects. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, customer success, and go-to-market. It gives you the broadest exposure to every part of our business.   WHAT YOU WILL DO AND ACHIEVE - Lead end-to-end implementation and integration of Factory into customer engineering environments, directly partnering with customer teams to design robust, optimized workflows and build successful, long-term partnerships - Serve as the primary technical lead on customer engagements. You'll be on-site with customers regularly (typically about once a month and mostly within your region) to drive adoption, solve hard engineering problems and reduce time to value. - Deliver large-scale migrations, modernization and refactoring work in complex production systems, and own the technical outcome with the customer. - Respond quickly to customer needs. That can mean integrating with new systems, fixing critical issues in unfamiliar codebases or finding new ways to use Factory for a customer's specific problems. - Learn our customers' use cases deeply, and build the tooling and documentation they need to grow at scale. - Stay current on software development practices, tools and technologies so Factory stays at the forefront of AI in engineering.   QUALIFICATIONS - 4–10 years of engineering experience, ideally at companies that deploy complex technical products into demanding customer environments, such as Databricks, MongoDB, Meta, Palantir, Snowflake, Stripe, Cloudflare, Vannevar, Anduril or Scale. - Experience delivering migrations, refactors or similar changes in complex production systems in a customer-facing role is a major plus - Demonstrable capability to quickly grasp new technologies, programming languages, and software development practices. Proficiency across a broad tech stack is highly valued. - Strong problem-solving abilities, including quickly diagnosing, debugging, and resolving technical challenges in customer-facing settings - Excellent communication skills and a record of building strong relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - An intrinsic motivation to fix customer problems and make every deployment succeed. - A hunger to learn and keep improving, both your own skills and the product's value to customers. You're proactive and thrive in a fast-moving startup. - Deep expertise in an industry such as financial services, healthcare or the public sector is a plus. We hire both generalists and specialists.   This is an in-office position (5 days/week) in San Francisco, New York, London or Washington, DC.
