Reporting to the Fleet Readiness Manager, this role is to support the ongoing program of re-fits, repairs and refurbishment of our truck and trailer fleet interiors and exteriors. Responsibilities include working with trades in a supporting role, carrying out general first fix joinery, bodywork repairs Main Duties • Responsibilities include working with trades in a supporting role, carrying out general first fix joinery, bodywork repairs. • Remove and disposal of waste products created during the strip out and refurbishment of trailer builds. • Painting and maintaining the chassis, wheels, and associated kit for deployments. • Assist the various trades where required in the fit out of the projects. • Reseal the externals of the units. • Painting doors, woodwork of builds • General site maintenance of HQ and yard. • Hands-on support Requirements Experience- Essential • Understand site safety. • Ability to work with in a team environment. • Read and interpret technical drawings. • Proven ability to problem solve. • Trained in the use of power tools. Experience – Preferable • Ability to manage & deliver multiple tasks to a high standard on time. • Proven organizational skills. • Flexible working planning and prioritizing workload. • Trained in the use of cutting room joinery machinery. Key Skills • Highly motivated • Self-disciplined • Strong focus on quality • Clear and confident communicator at all levels, both internally and client facing Other Requirements • Full UK residency and hold a valid driving license and have suitable transport provisions (public transport is not recommended due to location of offices) • Able to travel throughout the UK and Overseas if required.
