Job Title Product Strategy Intern Job Description UnderwriteMe is an InsurTech company and subsidiary of Pacific Life Re (PL Re), dedicated to transforming the life insurance industry through innovative data and technology products. The Decision Platform (DP) is our B2B Enterprise Software product that aims to help insurers optimise their underwriting and claims process and realise that future of underwriting & claims. Both play an equally crucial role in achieving the mission. We are seeking a Business / Product Strategy Intern to support our strategy development within the Protection Platform. As you build context on the company, this may also lead to involvement on the Decision Platform. Role & Responsibilities You will work alongside the Head of Strategy, the CPO, and the Product Leadership on both PP and DP. During your internship, you will be focusing on validating growth and expansion opportunities for the PP in the UK and beyond. As part of this role, you will be building an understanding of: • Market sizing & dynamics • Competitive landscape & our right-to-win • Proposition assessment and development • Long-term opportunities & moonshots • Critical path to launching new offerings and markets Skills & Experience • 3-5+ years’ work experience from a consulting and strategy background • Experience working across Product and Tech • Currently Studying for an MBA • Someone with a keen interest in tech start-ups / scale-ups and preferably the InsurTech sector Additional information: • This is a paid internship position (£25 per hour); you will be provided a defined scope for your first project and will be expected to define and scope out future projects with support of the teams • We are open to part-time interns (2-3 days a week to fit around studying) About UnderwriteMe UnderwriteMe is an Insurtech software business and subsidiary of Pacific Life Re (PL Re), a global life and pensions reinsurance firm. We are already working on capabilities, powered by AI, to make these decisions even more efficient. • Protection Platform - a B2B2C marketplace used by over 15,000 advisors to power quoting and purchase of protection products in the UK. We currently deliver 16% of the UK markets protection policies and we are already working to increase our reach.
