Senior Consultant for cost engineering, VAVE, benchmark analysis

Job Description • Support and lead client projects on-site in national and international settings, from strategic concept development through to implementation. • Assess and optimize product and process costs across the full product development lifecycle. • Interpret and contribute to product development plans and translate technical requirements into cost engineering strategies. • Leverage your engineering and design experience to work effectively with integrated, cross-functional teams. • Collaborate with procurement functions and support cost-based negotiation strategies. • Analyze and optimize product engineering solutions, with a focus on their integration and interdependencies. • Apply cost engineering tools and methods to identify and implement cost improvement opportunities. • Utilize knowledge of manufacturing processes to understand cost implications for components and systems. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (with technical focus); an MBA is a plus. • 4–7 years of experience in consulting or industry, ideally in development, production, or procurement roles. • Strong technical foundation and expert-level knowledge in product engineering and cost management. • Industry experience in automotive, off-highway, industrial goods, aerospace, or electronics is highly valued. • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think analytically, creatively, and strategically. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including fluency in English. • High degree of mobility and willingness to travel frequently. • Passion for working on cost optimization projects and delivering measurable results.
