Senior .NET Developer (Aftermarket Applications)
Over deze vacature
Your role Bring your curiosity to work as our next . You will be part of our Aftermarket Engineering team reporting to Manager Engineering. In this role, your mission is to design, build and evolve business-critical backend applications and services that support our global aftermarket operations. You will contribute directly to how we create high‑quality products and solutions for our customers. Your day-to-day • Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using C# and .NET • Own services and business domains from design through deployment and support • Build and evolve REST APIs consumed by internal teams, Customer Centers and dealers worldwide • Develop event-driven integrations using Azure messaging technologies and Kafka • Contribute to the modernization of legacy .NET Framework applications to modern .NET • Collaborate with developers, architects and product owners to drive technical and architectural decisions Your skills and experience Must-have • C# / .NET (8 or later, moving to .NET 10): recent, hands-on experience building production-grade applications, not prototypes, at a level where you own a service end to end. • Azure: practical experience with several of: Function Apps, App Services, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Key Vault, API Management, Application Insights. • REST API design and implementation: designing and consuming well-structured, versioned APIs, and thinking about the contract before the code. • SQL databases: data modelling, query performance, and integrating relational data into cloud applications. • Testing as part of development: unit and integration testing as a habit, not a separate phase handed to someone else. • Experience migrating .NET Framework systems to modern .NET and retiring what they replaced. Strong plus • Apache Kafka: consuming event streams from systems you do not control, and living with what they send you. • Graph databases: Neo4j or equivalent, and the modelling instinct for when a relationship belongs in a graph rather than a join table. • Secure-by-default cloud development: managed identity, private endpoints, RBAC and secret management as normal practice. • Observability: structured logging, tracing, alerting, and being on the hook for a system you built. • Domain-driven design: bounded contexts and aggregates applied to a real domain rather than a textbook one. • Microservice architecture: service boundaries, inter-service contracts, and the operational cost of getting them wrong. • Event-driven and message-based architecture: queues, topics, event streams, and the practical problems that come with them: ordering, idempotency, at-least-once delivery, replay, poison messages. • CI/CD with Azure DevOps: YAML pipelines, release management, and infrastructure as code (Bicep, Terraform or ARM). We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement. We value diverse experiences and perspectives and are excited to see what you bring to the role.
