Job Title: Senior .NET Developer Business Title: Associate Director Department: Global Technology Department – Investment & Enterprise Technology Location: London, UK Job Summary Barings’ Investment & Enterprise Technology team are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer with 7+ years of experience to build, enhance, and support enterprise applications. This role requires strong hands-on development in C#, deep SQL expertise focused on troubleshooting and data analysis, and the ability to deliver business-critical insights through Power BI. The developer will also support SaaS applications and contribute to the design of AI-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities Application Development • Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core) • Build and support APIs and integrations across internal and third-party systems • Ensure code quality, scalability, and performance across the full SDLC SQL / Data Troubleshooting (Core Focus) • Perform complex SQL querying and troubleshooting to support production issues • Analyse, debug, and resolve data-related defects and performance bottlenecks • Work closely with business users to investigate data discrepancies and ensure data integrity • Optimise queries and stored procedures for performance and efficiency Power BI & Reporting (Key Skill) • Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making • Translate business requirements into meaningful visualizations and data models • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability of reporting solutions SaaS Application Support • Provide L2/L3 support for SaaS and enterprise applications • Troubleshoot system and integration issues, performing root-cause analysis • Work across teams to maintain system stability and resolve incidents quickly AI Solutions / Innovation • Contribute to the design and development of AI-enabled solutions (automation, insights, workflows) • Identify opportunities to embed AI capabilities into existing systems and processes Required Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in software development • Strong expertise in:• C# / .NET / ASP.NET Core • SQL (heavy focus on querying, troubleshooting, and data analysis) • Power BI (dashboarding, reporting, data modelling) • Experience supporting SaaS platforms and integrations • Proven ability to work on production support and issue resolution • Solid understanding of APIs, integrations, and enterprise system design • Experience working in Agile environments Preferred Skills • Experience with Azure cloud services • Exposure to AI/ML tools or building AI-powered features • Familiarity with data pipelines or ETL processes Requisite Skills Additional Skills Barings is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer; Minority/Female/Age/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Individual with Disability/Protected Veteran.
